WAVELAND -- Miss May Jarvis, retired drapery maker and resident of Indianapolis since 1909 died Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Friendship Home in Bloomingdale. She had been a resident there since March 26 and prior to that resided in Indianapolis. Miss Jarvis was born Oct. 14, 1880, the daughter of Scott and Martha Ellen Sutton Jarvis. She was never married. Miss Jarvis formerly was employed by the Richard Reynolds Co. in Indianapolis as a drapery maker. She was a member of the Englewood Christian Church in Indianapolis. Survivors include several nieces and nephews and a cousin, Cecil McMullen of Crawfordsville. Funeral services for Miss Jarvis will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery at Marshall. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday.- transcribed by kbz
