Kingman- Mrs. Sally M. Jackson, age 62, of Kingman Rt @, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday Jan 27 at Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill. She had been ill for several years and had been hospitalized one week. Mrs Jackson was born May 11, 1901, in Tangier, the daughter of Lawrence and Susie Church Harvey. She was married June 7, 1919, to Jesse Raymond Jackson, who survives. She was a member of the Parke County Board of Public Welfare, Fountain Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and Gold Star Mothers. She was a past officer of Pythian Sisters Lodge and was first president of the Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of the Tangier Friends Church and Tangier-Rush Creek Missionary Society. She was serving as a trustee of the Tangier-Rush Creek Friends Association. Surviving in addition to her husband, are' one son, Morris of Tangier, two daughters, Mrs. Merle Wilkey of Kingman Rt 2 and Mrs. Marjorie Grider of Danville, Ill.; her father of Tangier; one brother, Glen of Tangier; two sisters, Mrs Made Parent of Tangier and Mrs. Rosanna Miller of Lafayette and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and a son, S. Sgt. Mervin A. Jackson, who was killed in action in Germany during World War II. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Tangier Friends Church. The Rev. Ruth Isaacs will officiate. Burial, with the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home of Marshall in charge, will be in the Rush Creek Cemetery.
