Dr. George A. JACKSON, a former resident of this community, died in Indianapolis Sunday Jan 23 at 9:00 pm. at his home 2035 N. Meridian St. The funeral was conducted in Indianapolis by Rev. Skelton and burial was in Shannondale Cemetery. Mr. Jackson was 77 and his boyhood days were spent in Darlington and his young manhood in Clinton from which place he came to Browns Valley to what is known as the Oliver McLoed Farm. He and his family were highly respected in that community. Besides the wife, there remain his sons Lawrence and Robert, a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Shnelle (sic).
