Ernest D. Jack, 83, died Wednesday night in Ben Hur Nursing Home, where he had been a patient about one year. Mr. Jack was a retired farmer. He was born Oct. 5, 1895, in Parke County, a son of Oliver and Effie Guilliams Jack. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harriett Cooper of Monticello and Mrs. Ella Louise Crawley of Skokie, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Hine of Waveland and Mrs. Mildred Cook of Wallace; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Betty Graham. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in McGaughey & Son Funeral Home at Russellville with the Rev. Lester Niles officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday. – jlr
