Samuel Nelson Jarvis, 87 died at his home west of Russellville early on Monday morning. He was the son of Joseph and Rachel Dooley Jarvis and was born on a farm SW of Waveland. He was the last of a family of 5 children. He leaves a widow, Catherine Aker Jarvis. There are four children by his first wife, Nancy Payton Jarvis, now deceased. Claude Jarvis of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Carl Fletcher of Darlington; Mrs. JL Deere and Mrs. MJ Esterbrook of Terre Haute; Four grandchildren and 3 greats. Funeral services were held at the home on Wed. afternoon in charge of Rev. EE Moorman of Bethany, former pastor of the Waveland Christian Church. Burial in Russellville Cemetery. - typed by kbz
