Mrs. Zela Ivey, wife of Dr. Homer P. Ivey, former superintendent of the Crawfordsville District of the Methodist Church died Sunday Nov 4 at the Winter Park Memorial Hospital in Winter Park, Fla. Dr. Ivey visited the Hillsboro Methodist Church when serving as superintendent. They had been residents of Crawfordsville for a number of years and then moved to Winter Park. Mrs. Ivey suffered a heart attack and was removed to the hospital on Oct 26. Death followed a second seizure after reaching the hospital. Surviving besides the husband are two sisters, Mrs. Neese of Frankfort and Mrs. O’Bannon of Miami, Okla; two grandsons, David and Danny Ivey both of Las Cruces, N Mex. The body was brought to Indianapolis for funeral services and burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. – kbz

Crawfordsville - Mrs. Zela Ivey wife of Dr. Homer P. Ivey, former superintendent of the Crawfordsville district of the Methodist church died Sunday in Winter Park Memorial Hospital, Winter Park, Fla where she had been a patience since suffering a heart attack Oct 26.  Dr. and Mrs. Ivey had lived at Winger Park since leaving Crawfordsville.  The family home here was on South Vine. Dr. Ivey, who retired from the active ministry in 1945 was formerly pastor of Trinity Methodist Church here and several other churches including the former St. Paul's Church at Lafayette from 193-1914.  He was superintendent of the Crawfordsville District of the Methodist Church from 1931-1936.  Surviving with the husband are two sisters, Mrs. WJ Nees, Frankfort and Mrs. May O'Bannon, Miami Okla.  The body will be sent to Indianapolis.
