J.M. Irvin, Jr., 73, Hillsboro, died 5:23 p.m. Saturday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Irvin was a farmer with LeRoy Bunnell Farms for 10 years.
His memberships included Church of Christ, Paxton, Ill.. He served in the Army in the Korean War.
He was born Feb. 28, 1931, at Campagne County, Ill., to Milton and Lona Foley Irvin. He married Barbara Jean Hehmann Oct. 4, 1953, at Hillsboro. She survives.
Other survivors include daughter Deborah Merryman, Crawfordsville; brother Eugene Irvin, Paxton, Ill.; sisters Lucille Britt, Glasgow, Ky. and Maxine Murray, Youngstown, Ohio; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Saturday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. John Kessinger officiating. Burial will be in Meharry Cemetery, Wingate.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
