Elmdale, Nov 15 -- Billy Irvin, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Don D. Irvin, died at the home of his parents south of here at 11 o'clock Wednesday night. Death came after an extended illness with tuberculosis. The youth's twin brother, Jackie lies seriously ill at the home of his parents wit the same disease. Billy Irvin was born Jan 7, 1916, the son of Don D. and Fay Dazey Irvin. He was graduated from the Waynetown HS last spring. He was a member of the school's basketball team. The survivors are the parents and twin brother. Private funeral services will be held at the home at 12:20 o'clock Friday afternoon.The body will then be taken to the Elmdale Methodist Church of which the young man was a member and will lie in state there from 1 until 2 o'clock at which time public services will be held.
Note: Jackie became quite frail and passed away 23 Jan 1935
Don and Georgia Dazey Irvin raised several orphan and neighbor children who did not have homes. My son-in-law's mother, Sallie Baldwin was one of them (and her sister)
