Waynetown- Mrs Ruth Jane (Harris) Ingersoll, 63, was found dead at 5 p.m. Friday in her home in Crawfordsville by a son-in-law, Jack C Duke, also of Crawfordsville. She lived at No 2 County Club Terrace. The Montgomery County coroner said she had suffered a stroke. A native of Newtown, she was graduated from Waynetown High School and Madame Blakers College at Indianapolis. She taught school in Cass and Montgomery Counties. She was married in 1923 to Ray Ingersoll. They moved to Crawfordsville about 10 years ago. He died in 1961. She was a member of First Christian church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Carolyn Duke of Crawfordsville and Mrs Carolyn I Wright of St Louis, and two sisters, Mrs Beulah Shultz of Waynetown and Mrs Susan Gravett of Crawfordsville. The boby will be returned for services and interment. - kbz

Mrs. Ruth Jane Ingersoll, 63, of Country Club Terrace at the edge of Crawfordsville was found dead at 5 p.m. Friday in her home by a son-in-law, Jack C. Dukes of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Ingersoll apparently died after suffering a stroke/ Born June 11, 1902 at Newtown she was the daughter of Joseph and Nellie Hudson Harris Oct 11, 1923 , she married Ray E. Ingersoll. He preceded her in death on Dec 12, 1961 in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Ingersoll was a 1920 graduate of Waynetown HS and also graduated from Blaker Teachers College in Indianapolis. She taught in Cass and Montgomery counties. She was a member of the First Christian
Church in Crawfordsville. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William (Caroolyn) Wright of St. Louis, Mo and Mrs. Jack (Esther I) Dukes of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren: Julia Ann, Suzanne and William
Kinberly Wright and Anne and Scott Dukes and two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Shultz of Waynetown and Mrs. Susan Grvett of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Servies Funeral Home in
Waynetown. Rev. Howard F. Miler and Rev. Guy E. Tremaine will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz
