Fred Ingersoll, 64 of 1012 Sloan St died at 9:15 am. Tuesday in Culver Union Hospital where he had been a patient five weeks.  A life resident of Crawfordsville he worked as an outside salesman for Indiana Motor Parts for 39 years.  He was a Sgt in the Marine Corps and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.  He was a 1940 graduate of Crawfordsville High School.

Mr. Ingersoll was born June 18, 1922 at Crawfordsville to Warren and Laura Maye Michaels Ingersoll.  He married Geraldine "Jeri" Allen on June 28, 1947 at Crawfordsville. She survives.  Also surviving are a son, Phillip of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Shortridge of Waveland; a sister, Mrs. Rosemary Westfall of Plainfield and one granddaughter.  

Services are set for 11 a.m. Friday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Revis (Rev/) Brazle officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
