Funeral services for Alfred E. Ingersoll, 79, retired farmer who died at his home in Crawfordsville, was held at the Bright Funeral Home in Crawfordsville Friday afternoon with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Ingersoll formerly resided in the Ingersoll neighborhood southeast of Hillsboro. He was born Sept 4, 1878 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Ingersoll. He was married to Dora Beck Feb 235, 1903 who survives with two sisters, Mrs. John Beck of near Hillsboro and Mrs. Elmer Harlan of Waynetown. He was a farmer in Fountain County until 1948 when he moved to a farm south of Crawfordsville. He retired in 1950 and made his home in Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Liberty Chapel Church. – kbz
