Ingersoll - Elmina Livengood

Waynetown, Sept 13 - Mrs. Elmina Ingersoll, 87, died today at 6 p.m. at her home here. She had been ill for 3 months and in a serious condition the past 3 weeks with a complication of disease. Born in Jackson Twp, Fountain County on Jan 7, 1851, Mrs. Ingersoll was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Babb Livengood. On October 12, 1869, she was married to Alonzo Ingersoll, who expired Oct 17, 1917. She spent all her life in Fountain and Montgomery Counties and for the past six years had resided in Waynetown. She was a member of the Lutheran Church near Wallace. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Elva Whitaker, Crawfordsville; two sons, Edwin Ingersoll, near Waynetown and Leo Ingersoll of near Waynetown, one brother, Alfred Livengood; 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at her late home with Rev. W. C. Donaldson of Wallace in charge. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery here. - kbz
