Miss. Bertha F. Hyten, 63, for 34 years a teacher in Putnam Co., died at her home here Saturday evening. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Chastain funeral home. Burial was made in Ladoga. She was born in Parkersburg, Indiana November 23, 1870 and died August 18, 1934. She was the daughter of Dr. W. H. and Malinda Goodbar Hyten. She was one of 9 children, five sons and four daughters, three are now deceased. Other survivors include; William L. Hyten, Roachdale; Mrs. Clay Goff and Mrs. Effie Owens, Russellville, Tilman Hyten, Ladoga, and Miss Cora Hyten, twelve nieces and nephews.
