Hillsboro - Miss Bernice Hyatt, 81, of Hillsboro, died Monday morning in her home. Miss Hyatt was a resident of HIllsboro for 72 years. She had taught in the Hillsboro School, retiring in 1961. She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church. She was a 1920 graduate of Hillsboro HS and a graduate of Central Normal College, Danville, Ind. She was born May 6, 1900, near Newtown, the daughter of John W. and Etha Keefer Hyatt. She is survived by a brother, Harry V. Hyatt of Lafayette; three nephews; and a niece. Services are at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with the Rev. Thomas Inabinette officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hkll Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.Wednesday. - kbz
