Funeral services for John L. Hutts, a retired farmer and life resident of Fountain County were conducted at 2 pm. today at Parham Funeral Home with Rev. Conley Rowland officiating. Interment will be made in Bonebrake cemetery. Mr. Hutts, 89 expired at 5 pm. at the Small Nursing Home at Waynetown; he had been a patient there since last August. Born March 16, 1871 near Yeddo, he was a son of William and Sarah Sample Hutts. He was married to Ida May Johnson, who died Oct 28, 1958. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marlen Hall of Veedersburg; a son Ray Hutts of Charleston, Ill; a brother Charles Hutts of Charleston, ill; 4 grandhcildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Services were at 2 p. m. Tuesday Dec. 27, at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg for John L. Hutts, age 89, a life resident of Fountain County, who died at 5 p. m. Saturday, Dec. 24 at the Small Nursing Home in Waynetown where he had been a patient since August. The Rev. Conley Rowland officiated with burial in the Bonebrake Cemetery. Born March 16, 1871, near Yeddo he was the son of William and Sarah Sample Hutts. He was married to Ida Mae Johnson, who preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 1958. He had been a farmer in the community. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marlin Hall of Veedersburg; a son, Ray of Charleston; a brother, Charles of Charleston; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  --typed by Walt W
