Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

WINGATE, Ind. (CNS) --- Freeman L. Hutts, 79, of 449 Sycamore, died Saturday morning (March 22, 1975) at his home. He had been ill for some time. Born Oct. 13, 1894, in Yeddo, he was the son of Lewis and Amanda Oaks Hutts. On Dec. 23, 1915, he married Leona Harper of Wingate, who died in June of 1968. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Geroldine Zimmerman of Tiffin, Ohio; a half-brother, Lee Glascock of Lafayette; a granddaughter, Dianne Zimmerman; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, a brother, a half-brother and two half-sisters. Mr. Hutts had resided most of his life in Wingate and in Tiffin since 1961. He had attended the United Church of Christ and was a member of Yeddo Evangelical United Brethren Church. He was a retired carpenter. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown, with the Rev. Homer Hunnsinger officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  --typed by Walt W
