Hutton - Mabel

Mabel Constance Hutton was born March 14, 1877, and died September 1, 1894, aged 17 years five months and 18 days. She united with the Christian church in December, 1893, confessing faith in her Saviour. Mabel was always a good girl. She was sober, thoughtful and sweet spirited. Her life though short was most beautiful. Her determination at the time she became a Christian and during the few short months she was permitted to enjoy the Christian's hope was remarkable. She was taken suddenly worse a few hours before her death and calling her father said to him: "I want Uncle John Morris and Aunt Mary to stay with me to-night as I shall not live till morning. I am ready and willing to die," and in a few hours she passed sweetly away to be with her mamma and little sister Maude. ''Beautiful hands at the gateway tonight Faces all shining with radiant light, Eyes looking down from your heavenly home Beautiful hands that, are beckoning, come." The funeral took place Monday at 2 o'clock from Young's Chapel, conducted by Rev J. T. Shuey. - thanks to Kim H
