Last Friday afternoon, at his home five miles northeast of the city, occurred the death of George W. Hutton, one of the honored pioneer residents of Montgomery county. Mr. Hutton had been in declining health for four or five years and his death was not unexpected. Mr. Hutton was born in Virginia seventy-three years ago and came here with his father, William Hutton, early in the thirties. He was a man whose life was given to hard work and usefulness and he leaves a handsome estate, his home being one of the handsomest in the county. He was twice married, his first wife being a Miss Minerva McDaniel and his second a Miss Mary A Deitrich. By his first wife he had one child, now Mrs. Cyrus Ray, who survives him. Besides his wife and daughter he leaves two brothers, Jacob and Samuel Hutton. Mr. Hutton was a man of the highest intelligence and his good name was never called in question. He was recognized as one of the most substantial men in the county and his opinions on any subject was given weight. He was a good neighbor and the community sincerely regrets his loss. The funeral took place from the family residence on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. - thanks to Kim H
