Mrs. Luetta Hurt, 80, a lifelong resident of this community (Jamestown) died at 4:07 o'clock Wednesday morning at Culver hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been critically ill since fracturing her hip in a fall at her farm home, W. of Jamestown, 3 weeks ago. Born July 30, 1868, near Jamestown, Mrs. Hurt was the daughter of William and Margaret Henry Roberts. She married John Henry Hurt in Feb, 1888. She was a member of the Jamestown Methodist church. The husband died several year ago. Surviving are two sons, Fay Hurt of Crawfordsville and Guy Hurt, of near Jamestown; two daughters, Mrs. Dora Harris of Chicago and Mrs. Dorothy Edrington of near Jamestown; twin sisters, Mrs. Rosa Dayton and Miss Rhoda Roberts, both of Jamestown; 7 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides the husband, a son, Roy Hurt, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the C. Rushton Smith Funeral Home in Jamestown with burial at the Jamestown IOOF cemetery. Rev. AL Vermillion officiating.

Jamestown, Dec. 10 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Luetta Hurt were held in the C. Rushton Smith funeral home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. AL Vermillion, pastor of the local Methodist Church officiating. A trio of Mrs. Ethel Proctor, Mrs. Beula White and Cecil Steele sang Beautiful Isle of Somewhere and Heavenly Home. Pallbearers were Fay Henry Hurt, Wayne Edrington, Loren Lind and Robert, James and William Henry. Floral offerings were carried by Darlene Hurt, Marilyn Edington, Mrs. Fay Henry Hurt, Mrs. Loren Lind, Mrs. James Grimes, Miss Thelma Elizabeth Hurt and Mrs. Wayne Edrington. Burial was in the Jamestown IOOF cemetery.
