VEEDERSBURG -- Mrs. Eva Hurt, 90, a former Veedersburg resident, died Monday in Escondido Calif. She was born in Veedersburg to Johnson and Margaret Coats Cook. She was married to J.W. (Bob) Hurt. He died in 1952, and since then Mrs. Hurt had lived in California. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Grace Clark of Escondido, and Mrs. Doyne Winger of South Gate, Calif.; a son, Russell of Springfield, Ill., and a nephew, J. Milo Cook of Crawfordsville. The body will be brought to the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg where graveside rites only will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate.
