Wm and John Hurley have returned from Danville, Ill., where they were attending their father’s funeral. One year ago Levian Hurley was taken to the hospital of the soldiers’ home at Danville, where he was highly regarded by the officers and his fellow comrades. He had been quite feeble for some time and his sons had visited him a short time ago. He passed away very suddenly on Saturday, February 8th. His remains were taken to the home of his son-in-law, C. V. Brant and services were held there at 3 p.m. Monday and he was laid to rest by the side of his three daughters who had gone on before. He was a man of gentle disposition, quiet, unassuming, always fearful of making trouble for others and very industrious; never idle until increasing ill health laid him aside. He bore with patience his months’ of weakness, and all with whom he came in contact loved and respected him.
