Crawfordsville, Ind April 30 – In the death of George P. Hurley, which occurred Sunday evening at 6 o’clock Crawfordsville loses one of its most representative citizens, a man who had been identified with the city’s best interests since his early manhood. He was born in New Albany, Ind in 1833 and with his father removed to Crawfordsville when but 6 years of age. For 52 years he had practiced at the Montgomery County bar. In politics, Judge Hurley was an uncompromising Democrat. The funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at the residence on South Green Street, at 2 o’clock and will be conducted by Dr CH Wilson, pastor of the Center Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. – kbz
