James Hunter, 805 west Wabash Avenue, who would have been 83 years of age had he lived until May 14, died Thursday night at his home of the disease incident to reclining years. He was a retired farmer having moved to his present home in this city twelve years ago from a fine farm in Ripley township, four miles southwest of Yountsville. Mr. Hunter, from Butler County, Ohio. They settled in Wayne township where the deceased spent his boy hood days. He afterwards owned this Wayne township farm. His parents are dead as are all of his near relatives, except a brother, Isaiah Hunter, who has been residing at Mr. Hunter's home in this city for the past few years. Fifty years ago last June, Mr. Hunter was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Hunter. To this union two children were born, a son and a daughter. Both are dead. One granddaughter, Mrs. David Scott, and the widow survive. Mrs. Scott has been making her home with Mr. and Mrs. Hunter. The funeral will be at the home on Sunday morning at ten. The body will be taken overland to a Waynetown cemetery for internment.
