ISAIAH HUNTER

Isaiah Hunter, age 91, died at the home of Mrs. Buck, 903 East Market street, shortly after midnight, Mr. Hunter had been in failing health for several years and death was due to old age. Mr. Hunter was a bachelor. He is survived by a grand niece, Mrs. David Scott, and a nephew, Frank Vaughn, both of this city. Mr. Hunter was taken into the Masonic order of Alamo in July, 1860. He taught school in the county for many years and was well known in the city. Mr. Hunter was born in Ohio. He came to this city with his father when he was a boy. For many years he lived on a farm near Crawfordsville which his father homesteaded and obtained from the government. During the latter years of his life he assisted in the settling of many estates. For several years preceding his death he lived in Crawfordsville. Funeral arrangements have not been made. Short funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. David Scott, 803 west Wabash avenue, where Mr. Hunter spent several years of his life, at 1:30 Saturday afternoon. The body will be taken to Waynetown where the Masons will have charge. Burial will be made in the Waynetown cemetery. Friends wishing to visit the remains may do so by calling the Scott home this evening.
