This morning at 2:20 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. James Hunter, at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. David Scott, at 805 west Wabash Avenue. She was eighty years, seven months and twenty-five days old and death was due to infirmities of old age. The deceased was the daughter of William and Jemimia Work Hunter, and was born on a farm south of Waynetown. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Hendricks of Waynetown, and one granddaughter, Mrs. David Scott, of this city, with whom she made her home. She was married June 23, 1863, to James Hunter, they resided on a farm between Alamo and Yountsville until a few years ago. To this union were born two children, a son and a daughter, both having preceded her in death a great many years ago. The funeral services will be held at the Hunter home in this city on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and burial will be made at the Waynetown cemetery.
