Samantha Jane HUNT, highly respected resident of this city died at her home, 413 E. College Street Saturday afternoon of pneumonia. She had been ill since the last week in December. She was born in Ohio July 24, 1843, the daughter of Frederick and Amanda Myers. She was married to Moses Wesley HUNT Nov 24, 1866. Deceased was a member of Mace Methodist Church and highly respected by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by 3 children: Willie, John and Ettie. Surviving are 3 children: George Hunt of Indianapolis; Charles Hunt of East St. Louis and Fred Hunt of this city; the brothers, Ludlow and James Myers of Cairo, ill; 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held from the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Guy O. Carpenter. Interment will be made at Mace K of P cemetery.
