Fountain County barely missed adding another fatality to the year's toll Saturday night. Rose Marie Hunt, 46, of Rt. l, Cicero, Ind., was killed instantly of massive internal injuries at 8:10 p.m. Saturday night in a bus accident one-half mile east of the Fountain-Montgomery county line, on I-74, about 10 miles west of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Hunt was a passenger on a commercial bus on a run from Champaign, Ill., to Indianapolis. Seven other passengers were injured in the accident. According to state police, the bus was eastbound from Champaign on I-74 when it struck a patch of ice. The rear skidded around to the left, the bus backed into a ditch, turned over on its left side and then bounced back onto its wheels. The fatality victim was believed to have been thrown from the bus. - jlr
