Carolyn Lee Hunt June 16, 1934-Oct. 31, 2003 Carolyn Lee Hunt, 69, Crawfordsville, died 3:45 a.m. Friday in her residence. Mrs. Hunt was a grill cook for various area restaurants and a foster parent for several years. Her memberships included New Hope Christian Church. She attended Bowers, Darlington. She was born June 16, 1934, at Crawfordsville, to Ales and Susie Dowden Maxwell. Survivors include three sons, Ron Birchfield, Frankfort, Jerry Birchfield, Crawfordsville, and Jeff Hunt, Rockville; a daughter, Susan Anderson, Hancock, Minn.; two brothers, Don Maxwell, Colfax, and Joseph "Darrell" Maxwell, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a sister, Norma Lane, Anderson; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. An infant son, Val Edward, and several brothers and sisters are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Monday in Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Sue Larson, hospice chaplain, officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Darlington. Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
