Jonathan B. Humphreys, 90-year-old retired farmer, died Sunday evening at his home, 1009 Lane Ave. He had been ill since March 1967. A native of Bismark, Ill., he was a son of Samuel and Sarah Jane Griffin Humphreys. He was married at Mellot on Oct. 9, 1895 to Ina Myrtle Tyler, who preceded him in death. Mr. Humphreys was a member of the Elmdale Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, Palmer of Vero Beach, Fla., Ralph of Indianapolis and Paul of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Martin of Lebanon and Mrs. Audra Smtih of Crawfordsville; six brothers, Wilber of near Crawfordsville, Frank of Hollywood, Calif., Asa and Charley of Hillsboro, Grover of Bismark and Carl of Waveland; two sisters, Mrs. Zella Potter of Alvin, Ill., and Mrs. Carrie Fruits of near Crawfordsville, and six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Mr. Humphreys was the eldest of 16 children. Six brothers, two sisters, a son and a daughter are deceased. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday. Rev. John Servies will officiate, with burial in Oakland Cemetery near Elmdale.

Funeral services for Johnathan B. Humphreys were held Wednesday morning in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the floral tributes were Jerry Humphreys, Thomas Humphreys, Phil Humphreys, Glenn Potter, Sam Potter and Ted Edwards. Selections were played on the organ by Ina Reynolds.
