Mrs. Mary E. Humphrey, 85, of 1005 Lane Ave., died at 4:40 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital, where she had been a patient since Oct. 30. She was a native of Liberty Township, White County, born March 13, 1882 to James and Mary E. Farley Ross. She attended Montgomery County schools and married Fred Humphrey in 1899 in Crawfordsville. He died in 1964. Mrs. Humphrey was a retired coat factory employee here. She was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edith Sutton of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Miller of Crawfordsville; two grandsons, Clyde and Wilbur Sutton of Lafayette, and five great grandchildren. Besides her husband, two brothers and two sisters preceded Mrs. Humphrey in death. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Powers Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies the minister. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery north of Elmdale. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz
