George Humbert.........live in West Lafayette and was married to Miss Laura Ann McNeal in Tippecanoe County, on December 24, 1868 to which union six children were born, two of whom, Harry of LaFayette, and Mrs. Emma Hollowell of Chicago survive. He is also survived by a brother, Joseph Humbert, of New Richmond. His wife died August 12, 1816 (sic - 1916). Mr. Humbert was a member of the Methodist Church and a man of sterling character. The body arrived in LaFayette Sunday afternoon. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the West Side Methodist Church. The burial was made in Grand View Cemetery.
