Source: Crawfordsville Review June 24, 1924 p 2
Potomaine poisoning caused the death of Pearly Jane Hultz. Death came as a shock to her many friends. Then fell upon the house a sudden gloom … a shadow o’er these features fair and thing, And softly from that hushed room, Two angels issued where but one went in. Death is sad when it enters any home, but when little children lose by death a sweet patient mother it is especially sad. Thus it is in the death of Pearl, as she was known by all of her friends. Pearly Jane daughter of John and Martha Ellen Wrightman was born June 18th, 1885 near Darlington, Ind. The greatest part of her life being spent in Montgomery Co. On May 27, 1904 she was united in marriage to Leslie L. Hultz of Brownsvalley, Ind. To this union was born five boys: Clarence, Cecil, John, Donald and Jessie, who with their father survives. Her father John Wrightsman, four brothers, Ashby, Milborn and Everett Wrightsman of Waveland and Willie Wrightsman of Union; two sisters, Joseph Esra and Ola Shuler of Frankfort survive. She leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss. Being spiritually included she united with the Misionary Baptist Church of Brownsvalley several years ago. She was intelligent, honest, industrious, kind, self-sacrificing, dignified, pure and good. The funeral occurred at the Brownsvalley Baptist Church Wednesday morning, conducted by Rev. HH Elmore of Crawfordsville. Interment at Indian Cree, Cemetery. – kbz
