After months of suffering in the full grasp of the destroyer, comsumption, Mrs. Mary E. Hulett, wife of Deputy County Auditor, Walter F. Hulett, passed from eath to join the silent majority at 11 o’clock last night. The maiden name of the deceased was Mary E. Craig. She was the daughter of Robert Craig, deceased, late of this city, and was born at the family homestead in Franklin Township, August 28, 1857, at the time of her death verging on 33 years, not quite half the allotted life of humanity. She was married to Walter Hulett September 25, 1878. to them was born one child, which died in infancy September 10, 1880. In 1883 the failing health of his wife caused Mr. Hulett to sell his business in this county and remove to California, where they remained some time, finally returning to Indiana and built them a home on East Main Street where they have since lived. Mrs. Hulett was a member of Center Presbyterian Church, having united with that denomination at Darlington in the winter of 1886, under Rev. Thornton D. Fyffe, now of this city. Her professions were not shams, but she lived the life she assumed, that of a modest, kind, charitable, Christian woman, loved by her acquaintances and respected by all. The stricken husband has the heartfelt sympathy of the community in his great loss. The funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at the residence on East Main Street, Rev. Dr. Cunningham officiating. The remains will be taken to Darlington for interment.
