Waynetown - Services were today for William M. Hughes, 79, Waynetown, a retired telegraph lineman for Pennsylvania Railroad, who died Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. The Rev. Steven malone officiated in services in Thomas Funearl Home here. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. After leaving the railroad, Mr. Hughes worked as a lineman for the city of Veedersburg. He moved to this community in 1967. He was a member of Masonic Lodge at Veedersburg. Born March 19, 1898, at Wallace, he was a son of John and Amelia Manifee Hughes. He was married March 30, 1932 to Frances Wilkinson at Veedersburg. She survives. Other survivors are a son, Ernest of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. George (Mary) Barker of Waynetown; a brother, Ernest of Hobart; a sister, Mrs. Frances Sayre of Oxford and two grandchildren. -- tch
