Mrs. Lafayette Hughes died at the home of her son, Frank Hughes, in Adrian, Michigan, on Friday. She was the sister of Mrs. Eliza Moore. Mr. Hughes at one time ran a sawmill at Browns Valley, and also on the Sullivan place. He removed from here to a farm near Ashley in Northern Indiana, where he died. Mrs. Hughes, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Sweem, will be remembered by a number of friends here. - transcribed by kbz
