Ernest Howard Huffman, 56, former Crawfordsville area resident, died Monday evening (Aug. 2, 1971) at Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. Born March 3, 1915, in Putnam County, he was the son of Ottie and Jenny Huffman. He was married to Evelyn Knight. Mr. Huffman worked a number of years at Allison Division of General Motors Corp in Indianapolis. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife; a son, Howard of Linnsburg; two brothers, Marvin of Denville and Homer of Linnsburg; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Colyd of Rockville, Mrs. Goldie Morris of Montezuma and Mrs. Winnie Gill of Montezuma. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sterling Mortuary in Indianapolis. Burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery at Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home.-- tch
