HILLSBORO- Cooney Huenefeld, 71, of this community, died in Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton, Saturday night after a month's illness. He had entered the Allen Nursing Home at Rockville Friday morning and was taken to the hospital at 8 p.m. Saturday, dying within a few hours after arrival there. He was born Nov. 27, 1887, in southern Indiana. He was married in November, 1931, to Mrs. Nettie Miller, who survives. Since their marriage they have lived in this community. Mr. Huenefeld was employed 18 years at the Alcoa plant in Lafayette, retiring a few years ago. He attended the Nazarene Church in Hillsboro. Friends may call at the Crumley Funeral Home here after 6 p.m. Monday. Graveside rites only will be conducted. They are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Rev. A. R. Myers of Salem, Ind., will officiate.

Cooney Huenefeld, 71 of Hillsboro died at the Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton Saturday night at 11 o’clock. He had been serious ill at his home here for the past four weeks, after suffering a stroke. He entered the Allen Nursing Home in Rockville on Friday morning and was removed to the hospital about 8 o’clock Saturday evening and died a few hours later. He was born in southern Indiana on Nov 27, 1887 and was married to Mrs. Nettie Miller in November 1931. All of their married life was spent in the vicinity of Hillsboro. The widow is the only survivors. Mr. Huenefeld was employed at the ALCOA Plant in Lafayette for 18 years and had retired during the past few years. He attended the Hillsboro Nazarene Church. The body remained at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro until Tuesday afternoon when a graveside service was held at the Waynetown masonic Cemetery. The service was conducted by the Rev. AR Myers of Salem. – kbz
