WAYNETOWN — Thomas W. Hudson, 66, 214 S. Blair St., Crawfordsville, retired R.R. Donnelley and Sons Co. employe and once a farmer in the Wingate vicinity, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Administration Facility, Danville, Ill. He was ill 14 weeks with arteriosclerosis. A native of the Linden community, Mr. Hudson was born Sept 7, 1891, the son of John and Clara J. Mason Hudson. He was married Sept. 3, 1924, to Eva Mitchell in Crawfordsville. Mr. Hudson was a veteran of World War I, enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1917 and being discharged two years later. Part of his service time was spent overseas. He was a member of the American Legion post at Wingate and of the Congregational Christian Church in the same town. He was retired from Donnelley’s July 2, 1954. Survivors include the widow; two brothers, Clarence E. Hudson of near Crawfordsville and Wilbert (Pete) Hudson of Crawfordsville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Wingate Congregational Church by the Rev. C. H. Inness. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wingate. Friends may pay their respects at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown from 2 p.m. Wednesday until 1 p.m. Friday. At that time the body will be taken to Wingate to lie in state at the church one hour preceding the services.
