Ora Everett Hudson, 63, 222 N. Washington St, a contractor an employee of the Crawfordsville Ice & Cold Storage Company, died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday at Culver Hospital. He had been ill with a heart ailment 4 weeks. Born Dec 18, 1898, at Lincoln, Neb, Mr. Hudson was the son of Andrew and Orsie Hester Grimes Hudson. He was married in 1935 to Mary Gillis Rakestraw who died September 26, 1942. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Hazel McCormack and Mrs. Retha Lemon, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Helen Perkins, Lebanon; a brother, Ernest Hudson, Indianapolis; a half brother, Kenneth Hudson, Indianapolis; a step mother, Mrs. Viola Hudson, Crawfordsville; several step sisters and step brothers and 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be at Maosnic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after Saturday noon.
