Source: New Ross Mail 27 Oct 1899 p 20

Freddie Huber, who was removed from Jamestown to the insane hospital at Indianapolis last fall for treatment on account of failing health and mental failure as a result therefrom died at the hospital last Saturday afternoon at about 3 o’clock.  John, his oldest brother who also fills the place of a faithful father departed that evening on receipt of a message apprising him of his death and the remains were brought to Jamestown that night on train No 35, which laid in state at the home until 3 o’clock the next day (Sunday) when short services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. Charles Jakes after which the remains were taken and laid to rest in the IOOF cemetery.  Freddie was known as a gentle, kind-hearted and good boy and before his mental faculties failed him he was considered exceedingly bright for one of his years.  Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.  His age was a few months past 17 years.  The disease which he suffered with was pronounced consumption of the brain. A short time preceding death he failed rapidly and a few days before death he was unable to recognize friends. --- kbz
