Laura C. Hubbard, 83, of Rt. 1, Waveland, died Thursday evening ( Dec. 30, 1976) in Ben Hur Nursing Home. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, VFW Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge Auxiliary. Born Feb. 11, 1893, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Calvin and Elizabeth Reath Dickman. She married Thomas Baker. After his death, she married Chockey Hubbard. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, the Rev. Richard Baker and John Baker, both of Crawfordsville; two stepsons, Donald Hubbard of Browns Valley and Glen Hubbard of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and a step great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home at Crawfordsville. The Rev. Dick Baker will officiate for his mother. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.-- tch
