W.L. Hyten -- "Dailey"

W. L. Hyten, better known as Dailey, son of Dr. and Malinda Hyten, was born August 25, 1865. After an illness of four months he passed away at his home in Roachdale December 15, 1935. He grew to manhood in Parkersburg and in early life he united with the church of the community. After moving to Roachdale he transferred his membership to the Methodist church here. On January 23, 1896 he was married to Miss. Lula Sewell of Greencastle and to this union were born two children; Donald of Roachdale and Mrs. Helen Montgomery of Crawfordsville. Surviving in addition to the widow and children are; 6 grandchildren, Robert, Delores, Joan Hyten, Betty, Loretta and Marie Montgomery; one brother Tillman Hyten of Lebanon, three sisters, Mrs. Clay Goff and Mrs. Effie Owens of Russellville and Mrs. Cora Hyten of Roachdale and many other friends and relatives.-- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for her donation of the Roachdale Times obituaries she has collected - greatly appreciated !
