The death of Mrs. Louise HUSTON June 12 has brought sorrow & regret to the Library Board, her patrons and friends she so well served throughout the township of Brown and town of Waveland. Mrs. Huston served as Librarian of the Waveland -Brown Township for 26 years. This she did well as she assumed an obligation and a responsibility always having her reader's interests in mind, making her an understanding servant of her community. The library was built in 1914, and Mrs. Huston was instrumental in getting the many things done before and opening of the library when her step daughter, Mrs. Nellie Huston Lamb was appointed the first librarian of the new library. During the years that followed, Mrs. Huston served on the Library Board as secretary and assistant Librarian. The Waveland Library Board has appointed Miss Helen Kelso as Librarian to take the place of Mrs. Huston and Mrs. Virginia Sharpe as assistant Librarian. Both Miss Kelso and Mrs. Sharpe are qualified and have Librarian's certificates. They have had years of experience under Mrs. Houston's capable supervision.
