John G. Hutchison, lifelong resident of the Elmdale community passed away Wednesday night at 11 at the home of Ike Harshbarger in Elmdale. Death was due to paralysis, Mr. Hutchison sustaining a stroke last Monday. He was born March 3, 1844, near Elmdale, the son of Josiah and Catherine Hixon Hutchison. In 1868 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Bannon who died 20 years ago. Those surviving are: one son, Charles of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Jasper and Irwin of Elmdale and one sister, Mrs. Belinda Hickman of Watseka, Ill. One grandchild and four great grandchildren also survive. The funeral services will be conducted from the Elmdale Baptist Church at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon with the Rev. Cornelius Airhart in charge. Burial will be made in the Oakland Cemetery near Elmdale
