Hurt - John Henry

Jamestown, Nov. 27 -- John Henry Hurt died at his home, one and a half miles W. of here Sun. morning at 11 o'clock from cancer of the stomach. He was born in Va. March 15, 1855. He was married to Ella Roberts, Feb. 2, 1888 and to this union 5 children were born. They with the widow, survive. The children are: Guy, Roy and Fay of near Jamestown; Mrs. Gilbert Harris of Jolietville and Dorothy at home. Mr. Hurt was a member of the K. of P. and Red Men lodges at Jamestown. The funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the residence, Rev. WK Ingalls, pastor of the Jamestown Methodist Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial was made in Odd Fellows' Cemetery at Jamestown.
