Fay Russell Hurt, 70, 115 Woodlawn Place, died in a Logansport Hospital early Tuesday. He had been in failing health for about nine years. He was born on March 24, 1893, in Boone County, the son of John Henry and Luetta Roberts Hurt. He was married to Bessie Huffman in 1916. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and had worked for the Western Union Oil Co. and later for Shell Oil Co. after it consolidated with the Western Union Co. Survivors, besides his wife, include a son, Fay Henry Hurt; a daughter, Mrs. James Grimes, Warsaw; a brother, Guy Hurt, Brownsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Edrington, Spender, and Mrs. Gilbert Harris, Brandon, Fla., and three grandchildren. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Friday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. W. Stoddard Sherman officiating and interment in Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. - typed by kbz
