Fred HUGHES, 67, a former resident of Detroit, MI who has several relative sin and near Montgomery County died Thursday June 7, 1962 at 6:30 p.m. in the Morgan County Hospital, Martinsville. He was born July 16, 1894 near Danville, Illinois, the son of John and Rosa Brown Hughs. On Jan 26,1 911 he married Lela LAWSON. After her death, he married Edith Clore Aug 14, 1942. He is survived by the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Cooper; Mrs. Nina Harvey; Mrs. Lois Banta; Mrs. Barbara Wright; Mrs. Evelyn Bean and Mrs. Carolyn Mitchell; 3 brothers, John; Oscar and Benny; 3 sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Holden; Mrs. Lela Foley and Mrs. Nellie Holycross; 21 grandchildren and 4 greats. Funeral services were held at Tangier Friends Church on Monday with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. - typed by kbz
