Veedersburg--Vera HOWARD, 22 the only child of Mr. and Mrs. William Howard of this place died at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at her home in Sterling, Indiana. She had been ill for about a year with tuberculosis. The deceased was born on a farm near Veedersburg and graduated from the Veedersburg HS with the class of 1919. She later attended Terre Haute Normal where she prepared herself for teaching school. She taught in Stone Bluff schools for one year and in Sterling schools one year. The funeral was held at 10:30 o'clock this morning from the Sterling church, Rev. Dawson had charge and burial was at Rockfield Cemetery.
