Veedersburg - Charles R. Howard, 52, Rt 3, Veeersburg died this morning in his home. He was born July 14, 1925 a son of Iris Youngblood Howard of Veedersburg and the late Lawrence W. Howard. He was married June 3, 1949 to Katheryn Tormohlem. She survives. Mr. Howard was a veteran of WWII and retired rural mail carrier. He was a member of the First Christian Church at Veedersburg, Rural Letter Carriers Association and American Legion. Other survivors are a son John L, a student at Indiana University; a daughter, Ann Kay, a student at St. Joseph's College and a sister, Mrs. William (Eleanor) Dice, Rt. 3, Veedersburg. The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Dickerson Funeral Home at Veedersburg. The Rev. William Ringold will officiate. Burial in Rockville Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fountain County Cancer Society. -- kbz
