Alice HOWARD, 88, who was employed for a number of years at the former Home Lawn Mineral Springs, died at 4:00 this morning at the heritage House Convalescent Center. She had been a resident there 2 years and before that had lived in the Woodcrest Addition. The daughter of William and Mary Ann Baldwin Jeffrey, she was born at Crawfordsville April 10, 1894. On August 3, 1910, she married Vinson Howard who died Feb 27, 1943. Survivors include a granddaughter, Sue Hastings Evans and two great grandchildren, Allison and Sara Evans, all of Woodcrest. One daughter, Thelma E. Hastings died in 1971. Mrs. Howard was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Martha Chapter OES. The funeral will be Saturday morning at 10 at the Meal & Summers Mortuary, Rev. Willson Smith will officiated and burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 Friday evening at the mortuary. An OES service will be at 7:30 Friday evening there - thanks to Jeff S
